There has been a change in the way our media feeds us our news over the last several years and I have noticed a trend that I find quite disturbing. The day of the independent newsman covering the story and presenting both sides in an impartial manner for the reader or listener to digest is gone. What is left are little more than editorials espousing the view of the owners or which ever political party they are trying to curry favor with.
I guess I shouldn't complain too much, at least I don't have to worry about thinking for myself, I'll just let the media folks do that for me so I can worry about more important things like which reality TV show I want to follow this season or how I can best manage to buy the latest and greatest home electronics to further erode my feeble intellect.
