Financial Woes

2009 already? WTH? Oh well, might as well get right into it shall we?
So what is happening in the world? Oh yes, President Obama, the hope of the free world rests on your shoulders Mr. President. Not a hefty task after the former president now is it?

We are in the midst of a global recession. I have a few ideas to get things back on track, keep industry going and get everybody working. It is of course a dreamers idea but it takes a visionary to bring them to fruition.

So what is this great idea you ask? It is actually a very old idea. Sir John A. MacDonald had a vision of a railway from sea to sea connecting the country and bringing us together as a people. I suggest one step further, a high speed underground rail transit system for people and goods spanning the continent, North to South. From Hudsons Bay to Rio Gallegos in Argentina and from say St. John's to Vancouver and a parallel line from Bangor to San Francisco.

If it were done as a private public partnership, built by the people for the people I think it would serve the same purpose that Sir John had in mind.

I ask for nothing except to be able to ride for free for my lifetime and a large statue and plaques in every station saying that I was not crazy but a dreamer.
